Dubya and Honest Abe?

For those of you who read my last post I said that if all goes well from here on out in the Iraq war and were out by next spring then it won’t be an issue in the 2008 election. Well I most definitely stand by that statement and I feel I have found some similarities between good ‘ol George W. with the Iraq War and Abraham Lincoln with the Civil War.

As we all know that Lincoln was shot five days after the Civil War ended and shortly before that Lincoln was elected to his second term, which he did not get to serve. Well lets just say that Lincoln had his doubts that he would even be reelected. Yes thats right Abe Lincoln, now probably on everyones top 5 president list almost was not reelected to his second term. He wrote letters to generals saying that they needed to wrap this war up because of how unhappy the American people were. Yes, yes I know, The CIVIL WAR and people in the North were leaning against the war and electing George B. McClellan, the former head Union General that decided the war needed to end, or in reality a cut and run strategy (another comparison?). Well we all know what happened next. Sherman marched to Savannah bringing destruction to the South while Sheridon destroyed the farm lands in the Shenendahoah Valley and the North won some major, major victories (and lost tons and tons of men in the process, you can thank Ulysses S. Grant for that) and the honorable General Lee surrendered at the Appomattox Court house in Appomattax, VA and then five days later Lincoln was shot by a crazed actor named John Wilkes Booth.

The comparison that I’m trying to get you to see is that people did not want Lincoln to be their president again. They wanted a totally different war strategy and they were starting to actually dislike Abe Lincoln. The reason why he was reelected was because of the huge turnaround in the war and when everyone saw that the North was starting to make all the right moves and when the people saw potential victory they rallied behind their troops and their president! We need the same thing today! We need to make ALL the right moves in Iraq and we need to win this war and get out and I can guarantee that not only will George W. Bush have a much better legacy, we won’t have to deal with a democrat in the presidential office!

I wonder what Hillary will do after losing the election, I say she leaves Bill.

Britian Pulls Out

Prime Minister Tony Blair declared today that Britain would be pulling their troops out of Iraq. Blair said he would take 1,600 troops out in next couple of months in aims to take their over 7000 troops below 5000 by this summer. Britain said that at this point they will still be supportive and help train Iraqi forces but they feel its time that they put it more in US hands. The Bush Admin. says this is a very important step in getting out of Iraq.

When I first heard this this morning I was kinda pissed and felt like Britian was just bowing out under pressure but now that I have looked into it more I now see that this could be a very good thing as far as getting out of Iraq goes. Like I’ve said before I do not support an immediate cut and run as the Democrats suggest but a slow and strategic removal. Even with the input of 21,000 more US troops this can still be done. I do believe also though that we will probably need more than just 21,000 to totally secure Iraq. My serious prediction is that we are out of Iraq by next spring. If that is the case then it could be very possible that the war might not even be an issue in the 2008 election.

Was Britian pulling out good? Tell me what you think.

What is with IRAN!

What should we do? Seriously. We start a war with them and then we have three wars going at once we’ll be spread very thin, we risk getting nuked and risk putting our friends the Israelis in even more harm. War is imminent with Iran no matter who the President is, Democrat or Republican (or maybe even Nadar).

The US Army has recently tested several roadside bombs and different weapons that the terrorists in Iraq are using and they have Iranian finger prints all over them. Now I ask you, If this is not an act of war what is? The question is what do we do?

Do we sit back and relax like we’ve done for the past 10 yrs. and let Iran to continue to walk all over us?  Do we do another land invasion?

The head of intelligence for the New York Times said that officials in the Gulf War region believe that we could be in a major war with Iran by this summer. Now they also say they think that something’s going to happen to propel us into war with them and thats why I say no matter who the President is we cannot avoid this war, and people, diplomatic conversations do not fly to well with Iran.

This is what I say. We keep talking about our tecnology in warfare, Unmanned planes, heat seeking missles, stealth bombers well lets use ‘em. Seriously would you want to get into land war with Iran? Bush keeps talking about our unmanned planes. Get them into production strap some bombs on there and kick some Ahmadinejad butt. If people think that casulties are high in this war, just wait until we get to war with Iran and thats why I say what would be a better opportunity to use unmanned aircraft?

This is what we need to do and quick:

1. try to get the Iraqi army and gov’t equipped and properly trained

2. use Iraq as a base to go into Iran

Why Ahmadinejad needs to go:

1. He makes Hitler look like a panzy

2. He HATES America and Israel with a bloody passion

3. He is mentally insane

4. He has a case of short man syndrome (seriously have you seen how short he is?)

5. He claims the Holocaust never happened, I suppose neither did WW2?

Quotes by Ahmadinejad:

speaking of Israel

“We ask the West to remove what they created sixty years ago and if they do not listen to our recommendations, then the Palestinian nation and other nations will eventually do this for them.”

Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury.”

“Remove Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations.”

“Israel is a rotten, dried tree that will be annihilated in one storm.”

“[There is] no significant need for the United States.”

“Iran is ready to transfer nuclear know-how to the
Islamic countries due to their need.”

“Israel is destined for destruction and will soon disappear”
Israel is “a contradiction to nature, we foresee its rapid disappearance and destruction.”

“They (Israel) kill women and children, young and old. And, behind closed doors, they make plans for the advancement of their evil goals.”

“A new Middle East will prevail without the existence of Israel.”

“Are they human beings?… They (Zionists) are a group of blood-thirsty savages putting all other criminals to shame.”

War is imminent, do we sit back and relax?
